Child Safety Standards (CSAE)
Last updated: August 29, 2026
MESA has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out our standards, how we enforce them, and how to report a concern.
Prohibited absolutely
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form.
- Any content that sexualises a minor, including drawings, edited images and AI-generated imagery.
- Grooming, sextortion, or soliciting or arranging contact with a minor for a sexual purpose.
- Trafficking or advertising a minor for sexual purposes.
- Sexualised commentary about a minor, or directing sexual content at a minor.
These rules apply to every part of MESA: profiles, photographs, posts, tips and reviews, poll content, plan details, group messages in Tables, usernames and bios.
Minimum age
MESA is not for children. You must be at least 13 years old, and at least 16 where your country sets a higher minimum age for consent to data processing. Accounts we believe belong to someone under the minimum age are removed.
How we enforce this
- Reporting in the app. Any message, review, tip or post can be reported, and any account can be blocked. Reports about child safety are prioritised above all other moderation.
- Action on violations. Confirmed CSAE content is removed and the account is terminated immediately and permanently. We do not issue warnings for CSAE.
- Reporting to authorities. We report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement, preserving relevant records as required by law.
- Ban evasion. We take steps to prevent terminated accounts from returning.
Report a concern
Email safety@mesaplanner.com with as much detail as you can — a link or username, and what you saw. This mailbox is monitored and child-safety reports are handled first.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
In the United States you can also report directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
Our point of contact
Child-safety matters, including requests from regulators, platforms and law enforcement, should go to safety@mesaplanner.com.
